About CLEER
Clean Energy Economy for the Region (CLEER) works to accelerate the transition to a clean energy economy, increase energy independence and reduce our collective contribution to climate change. Based in Carbondale, CO, CLEER helps communities achieve measurable progress on clean energy and climate goals. As a nonprofit consultancy, CLEER manages multiple programs and projects in western Colorado and statewide, including Garfield Clean Energy, ReCharge Colorado (14 counties) and the Colorado Clean Diesel Program.
Position Overview
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for logistical, administrative and operational support for CLEER’s office needs and program work. Critical elements of the role include: working closely with CLEER’s financial and bookkeeping team to support accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks; managing the organization’s administrative, IT, CRM database, and record-keeping needs; supporting human resources and fundraising projects.
This is a part-time, hourly position based in CLEER’s Carbondale office with the opportunity to arrange a flexible schedule or to work full time.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manages CLEER’s physical office, including supplies, mailboxes, check deposits, phones, equipment, technology and merchandise; arranges for IT support.
- Manages CLEER’s information technology systems and supply inventory.
- Maintains organizational records, registrations, insurance, memberships, and HR.
- Manages and maintains CLEER’s mailing inbox and lists, client database, data entry and maintenance, and supports other staff in their use and maintenance of the database.
- Aids fundraising outreach, appeals, acknowledgments, and reporting – including mail merge and record-keeping.
- Supports email marketing campaigns.
Desired Qualifications & Characteristics:
- Proven strong organizational skills
- Prove ability and desire to learn new systems
- Excellent organization skills,
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; Spanish language proficiency would be a major bonus (not required)
Highly desired experience:
- Previous administrative experience desired but not required
- Project management and scheduling using calendar and various software
- Event planning and logistics
- Executing bulk mailings and complex mail merge projects
Desired Technical Skills (either existing experience or willingness to learn)
- Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Proficient in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
- Basic knowledge of information technology
- Experience with or ability to learn the following software is a plus:
- Quickbooks or other bookkeeping software
- Harvest for time tracking
- Salesforce or other database software
- iContact
Compensation and Benefits
- $25.00 – $30.00 hourly. Wage commensurate with experience
- Paid time off including accrued sick and vacation
