Garfield Clean Energy helps county residents, businesses and its member governments become more energy efficient and tap clean energy as a means to creating a stronger, more resilient economy.
CLEER manages or partners in a number of programs designed to advance the clean energy economy.
We have a track record of developing initiatives that have gone on to be embraced and funded by local governments, and in some cases have been expanded statewide. Additionally, we offer mission-driven consulting services.
CLEER is one of five regional contractors for these two programs, which work to expand the state’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure and to increase EV ownership.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has contracted with CLEER to administer this statewide program, which makes grants to businesses to help defray the cost of replacing diesel equipment with all-electric or hybrid-electric equivalents.
CLEER is preparing to launch its next-generation platform for tracking energy use and solar production in commercial and institutional buildings. Active Energy Management will replace Building Energy Navigator, used by 150 buildings and facilities in western Colorado.
CLEER offers consulting services to local governments, school districts, utilities and other entities seeking to cut their energy consumption or create programs to do so. We can assist with buildings and facilities, transportation and solar energy planning.

CLEER is a founding partner of this informal collaboration of nonprofits, local governments, utilities and others working together to achieve more rapid and equitable progress on climate and clean-energy goals.
